Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and SoCo Agents (South County Agents), a sole proprietorship based in Rhode Island ("SoCo Agents", "we", "us"). They cover socoagents.dev and the web apps we make and sell, including NEO SEO. By using any of them, you agree to these terms, our Privacy policy and our Refund policy.

Custom work we do for a client, like building a website, is covered by the written quote or agreement for that job. If that agreement says something different from these terms, the agreement wins for that job.

You must be at least 18 and able to make a binding agreement. Our apps are made for small-business owners and the people who help them. If you use an app for a business, you confirm you're allowed to act for it.

Some apps, like NEO SEO, sign you in with a one-time code we email to you. There's no password. Keep access to that email address safe, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You're responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has used it, email us.

NEO SEO checks the public pages of a small-business website and tells you, in plain English, what might be costing you customers in search. It then walks you through fixing each problem yourself, one step at a time, and re-checks the page to see whether the fix worked.

Every new account gets one free starter check, with a score, a short summary and one fully guided fix. Other fixes are unlocked with credits. NEO SEO is in private preview, so features may change as we learn what helps owners most.

One free starter check is allowed per website or business.

You decide whether to make any change we suggest, and you're responsible for every change you make to your own website, its settings and your website builder account.

Our steps say how to undo each change, but website builders change their menus and we can't see inside your account. Before you change something, make sure you can log in and, where your builder allows it, keep a copy of what you're changing. If someone else manages your site, check with them first.

Search rankings are decided by Google and other search engines, not by us. NEO SEO gives guidance based on common good practice. We don't guarantee any ranking, traffic, calls or sales.

Checks are automatic. They can miss a problem or flag something that's actually fine. Lessons are written with the help of AI (Anthropic's Claude) and checked by automatic rules before you see them, but they can still contain mistakes. If a step doesn't match what you see, stop and email us.

Only check websites you own or are authorised to manage. Please don't:

• use our apps to scrape, copy or collect data from websites;
• overload, attack or try to break into any website, or our apps;
• get around limits, for example by making extra accounts for more free checks;
• copy, resell or republish our lessons in bulk, or try to reverse-engineer our apps;
• break the law or anyone else's rights.

We may pause or close an account that breaks these rules. If we close an account for any other reason, we'll refund any purchased credit pack you haven't spent a credit from yet.

Credits are prepaid units you spend inside NEO SEO. You buy them in packs, in US dollars:

• $5 for 50 credits
• $10 for 110 credits
• $25 for 300 credits

Unlocking a guided fix costs 20 credits, and a paid re-check costs 10. Re-checking your whole site costs 40. Re-checks on your free fix are free (up to 5 results a day). You always see the price and your balance before you spend.

New accounts get 50 free welcome credits, used for the free starter check. The check only uses what it actually costs us to run, and any welcome credits it doesn't use stay on your balance.

Credits never expire. Purchased credits can't be sold, transferred or swapped for money, except for refunds under our Refund policy. Free credits have no cash value, under any circumstance. If something on our side doesn't finish, the credits come back to your balance automatically.

Payments are taken by Stripe on its own secure checkout page. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment. Your card statement shows the charge from SOCOAGENTS, with NEO SEO beside it.

We may change pack prices or the number of credits an action costs. The price is always shown before you buy or spend, and that is the price you pay. A change never takes away credits you already have.

If you start a checkout just before a price changes and pay just after, we'll sort it out by hand: we'll either give you the credits you expected or refund you.

We may add, change or retire features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, for NEO SEO accounts, email you. If you keep using our apps after a change, the new terms apply.

You own your website and its content. You let us read its public pages and process what we find, only to provide the service.

We own our apps, their software and the lessons and text they show. You may use any lesson you get to fix your own website.

We work hard to make our apps useful and reliable, but we provide them "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we don't promise they will always be available, error-free, or right for your particular business.

As far as the law allows:

• we're not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits, lost sales, lost rankings, lost data or time your website is down;
• our total responsibility for any claim about our apps is limited to what you paid us for that app in the 12 months before the claim.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.

If you break these terms or the law and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs.

You can stop using our apps at any time, and ask us to delete your account by email. Deleting an account removes its credits, so if you bought a credit pack in the last 14 days and haven't spent from it, ask for a refund first.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, USA. If we disagree about something, please email us first; most things can be fixed that way. If not, the state or federal courts located in Rhode Island will decide it.
